History Monday is always a lot of fun. And this Monday proved to be the same.
New fact: Did you know Chesapeake is Algonquin for “shellfish bay” ?
The winds were very light to start the day off, but picked up a little as the day wore on and we were able to ghost around without to much help from the engine.
We had a couple out on one of our sails today celebrating their 41st wedding anniversary(congratulations!!).
The best part of the day today was our Sunset History cruise.
Sherri Marsh Johns, from Smith Island, came aboard and thoroughly captured everyone’s attention with tales of the Chesapeake Bay and the Oyster Wars that took place here.

Thank you Sherri for the wonderful facts of all that happened during this time in Chesapeake Bay history. It was all very interesting.
