October Sailing Schedule

Sailing on the Schooner WoodwindOctober is a wonderful time of year to sail.

Please note that our sailing schedule varies from our normal schedule due to the Boat Shows.  We are displaced from our normal dock at the Annapolis Waterfront Hotel so our cruises depart elsewhere.

September 30 – October 2: No Public Cruises. Private Cruises can be booked and are encouraged.

October 3, Thursday: Special Event: “Schooner Race Watch”Cheer on the Schooners! The Annual Great Chesapeake Bay Schooner Race Start Watch aboard the Schooner Woodwind II: Join in the excitement and watch the start of the race. The cruise departs from Annapolis City Marina.

October 4: No Public Cruises. Private Cruises can be booked and are encouraged.

October 5, Saturday: Special Event: “Thomas Point Shoal Lighthouse Cruise”Sail to Thomas Point Shoal Lighthouse and learn about its history, importance, and present day condition by guest lecturer David Gendell, author of “Thomas Point Shoal Lighthouse: A Chesapeake Bay Icon” & “The Last Days of the Schooner America: A Lost Icon at the Annapolis Warship Factory” The cruise departs from Annapolis City Marina.

October 6-9: No Public Cruises. Private Cruises can be booked and are encouraged.



October 10-14: 1.5 Hour Public Cruises

October 13, Sunday: “Sail with 59 North from the US Sailboat Show” Join the 59º North Sailing team on the WOODWIND! Andy Schell, Mia Karlsson, August Sandbergand friends will be onboard for the afternoon sail to share stories of past adventures and talk about FALKEN’s upcoming season in the South Pacific! Andy got his sailing start working as a deckhand on the Woodwind back in 2006, and it’s always fun to get back to Annapolis to see old friends. See you there! The cruise departs from US Sailboat Show Dock F2.
