Schooner Woodwind

Thank you for a great sailing season. See you in April 2025!

Families, Sunsets, Young sailors

One of the reasons I enjoy what I do is because I get to share with others why sailing is so cool.  Nina and her extended family came sailing for the first time.  It took a little coaxing, but I was able to get Nina at the helm.  This was her first time sailing and to watch her hold Woodwind on course, by herself, in front of her family, was for me a privilege.  She did an excellent job.  We had 3 generations of the same family steer our 74 foot schooner.

Andy is pretty cool with those shades!

Our special guest was Ladonna Earl, crew member Billy’s wife.  The two of them have been married for over 30 years and she loves to sail.

The sunset was spectacular.  You can see hints of it as we sailed closer and then there it was, in all its radiant glory.

The sunset starts to deepen.
