My grandparents eloped in Annapolis in 1946. They have both passed away. I’m thankful to have had time with my Granny to listen to her stories about their travels. My Grandaddy gave me this picture of him right before he passed away. On the back was written, “Chesapeake Bay 1946”. It was a dream of mine to be on a sailboat (as he was) in the Chesapeake Bay. I’m thankful for Schooner’s to have a sailboat and allow me to create a new memory in honor of my Grandaddy. This moment was so incredibly humbling and special to me!
