Schooner Woodwind

Thank you for a great sailing season. See you in April 2025!

This Saturday I met Chris and Brad who live near the Severn River in Virginia.  This Severn River is part of Mobjack Bay just North of Norfolk.  There they keep their classic sailing Catalina 30.  There are 3 Severn Rivers.  The second, of course, forms Annapolis Harbor and the last is actually The River Severn, which divides England from Wales and becomes the famous Bristol Channel.  Woodwind actually anchored in the Mobjack Bay Severn on the way back from our first Great Chesapeake Bay Schooner Race.  Although Woodwind is capable, I am not sure we are ready to sail to jolly old England in the near future.  Jonathan and Hannah are also from Virginia but originally from PA.  He has done some flying, including ultra lights.  Sailing is just like flying, except falling is not a hazard.  Both couples joined us for the Saturday evening sail and then spent the night on Woodwind.

As you can see the breakfast on board is more than ample and delicious.
