Boy did we ever have winds. Every sail we did today we started with a certain amount of sails up and ended up taking some down as the wind strength picked up all day. Our first charter was a team building exercise and we ended up having to drop the Fisherman sail and finish the exercise with 3 sails.
As the winds continued to pick up the sailing was fantastic and there were a lot of big smiles on the faces of the guests that took the opportunity to come back a steer the ship.
By the time we got to our sunset sail we were sailing on main and jib alone. This was nice though so we could slow the boat down to listen to our guest speaker. Local author Burt Hubinger came aboard and shared the facts of the war of 1812 that inspired him to write his book”1812 Rights of Passage”. Thank you Burt the guests thoroughly enjoyed your story.
