Much to our enjoyment, the weather forecasts proved inaccurate today. Hooray for sunshine and 15+ knots of southerly flow! After sailing the paint off Woodwind II all day, we beam reached into the sunset over the Naval Academy- a blissful end to an big day of sailing. As the sky warmed into some pink and orange tones, we hoisted the fisherman topsail. The Thursday night J boat fleet was flying their colorful spinnakers on our port side, while we checked the R4 mark for osprey chicks. No baby birds today, will check back this weekend.
