Monday morning we had a group of kids from one of the Anne Arundel County adventure camps join us. They were a lot of fun. everyone that wanted to get a turn at the wheel got a chance to be the skipper of our 74′ schooner. You should have seen the smiles.
Chris broke out all the charts of the area and the tools that we would use for navigating and had the kids try and figure out where we were.
Frank had another group up in the front of the boat and he was teaching them the parts of the boat and some of the knots that are commonly used aboard. I saw them do some kind of dance up there too, but am not sure what that was about :-). So the kids all had a good time and the sailing was perfect.
A good way to start the day!
Later in the day we had Brianna and Brandon visiting and they were eager to pitch in. They helped raise the sails and they drove the boat for most of the trip. Good job you guys.
We also had out a group of frequent sailors(from Cincinnati) wow…all that way and still be frequent sailors. I love it! Thanks you guys!
