Every Monday is History Day on the Schooner Woodwind. This weeks subject was on the history of Greenbury Point.
Our speaker, Janet Williman, is very engaging and takes the time to come around the boat and talk to everyone in small groups so all can hear.
Thank you Janet for another educational trip. It is always fun to learn new things about the area we live in.
Greenbury Point was the sight of the original settlement in our area back in the 1640’s.
Our trips all day had plenty of breeze and we were able to sail down to and under the Bay Bridge a couple of times today. It is such a different perspective of the bridge seeing it from underneath.(always fun)!!
We also made it down to to the bridge on our sunset cruise and I was able to capture a pic of the sun between the spans.
And another great day of sailing has come to an end. Thank you for sailing with us.
