August Wine in the Wind

Join us for a three hour sail around the Bay sampling wonderful wines: The Estate of Louis Latour, Burgundy with Timothe Cousins.  This representative from the winery will introduce you to these special wines. The cruise will be a relaxing sail including 3-oz samples of each of the four wines featured. Along with each wine is a delicious, perfectly paired bite (we call them magnificent morsels) to go with each wine.  After the sampling, there will be a small afternoon appetizer buffet that will pair well with any wines you would like to purchase by the glass to enjoy on the rest of your sail.  Includes a take-home, boat friendly, wine glass by Go Vino with the Woodwind’s logo on it. Depart Annapolis at 2:00pm, return at 5:00pm.

Price: $109 per person. Maximum 35 guests.

2013 Grande Ardeche, Chardonnay
An area planted by Latour in 1979 chosen for its clay and limestone soils and temperate climate. Fermented in stainless steel creating a classic style, crisp and clean with ripe apple and pear flavors with hints of holiday spice. Paired with Shrimp & Fig Skewer

2014 Montagny Premiere Cru. ” La Grande Roche”
These vineyards are nestled high up on the hill in limestone soils with great sun exposure. Also aged in stainless steel but a much more complex terroir driven wine. Paired with Frittata with Pork Belly

2013 Pinot Noir, Val Moissine
These vineyards are nestled high up on the hill in limestone soils with great sun exposure. Also aged in stainless steel but a much more complex terroir driven wine. Paired with Eggplant Ratatouille with Pesto

2014 Marsannay
The northern gateway to the Côte d’Or. Stylistically robust and sturdy with big intense aromas with a mouth filling silky texture. A wine you can enjoy now or age for 7 to 10 years and watch it evolve.  Paired with Grilled salmon with oil cured tomato
