Celebrate America’s 250th Anniversary with this special history cruise, showcasing the ties between Philadelphia 1776 and Annapolis 1783–1784. Did you know that Annapolis is where American Independence was sealed, with the ratification of the Treaty of Paris? Annapolis is thus the first peacetime capital of the United States. This city is also where General George Washington resigned his commission as Commander-in-Chief of the Continental Army, establishing the military’s subordination to civilian power, and becoming the “American Cincinnatus.” Discover these and many more stories, as we bring Annapolis’s revolutionary history to life!
