Dan Haas is known for being both a local performing musician and singer-songwriter, and a passionate wildlife enthusiast (with a focus on the birds). Since he began his pursuit, Dan has observed and found 323 species of birds in Anne Arundel County, and 394 species within Maryland. And like any collector, he spends a lot of time looking for rare and new species – even while he performs music.
Dan leads bird walks a few times a year, for friends, small groups, local birds clubs, and even our State and County parks.
