SUMMARY:Black Ankle Vineyards Dinner Cruise
DESCRIPTION:[vc_row gap=”35″][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_column_text]Captain Jen fell in love with this winery’s location\, wine and people that work at Black Ankle Winery. \nBlack Ankle Vineyards is the culmination of a long-time dream of founders Ed Boyce and Sarah O’Herron. They believe that the central Maryland Piedmont\, sitting at the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains\, has the right mix of rolling hills\, rocky\, low-fertility soils\, regular breezes\, sunshine and rain to be the home of some truly delicious wines — wines that express the land in which they are grown\, enhance the food they accompany\, and most important of all are a joy to drink. \nBread and Butter Kitchen completes the team making all of the food from scratch with local ingredients.[/vc_column_text][vc_custom_heading text=”Details” use_theme_fonts=”yes”][vc_column_text] \n\nDeparts from Annapolis at 5:30pm and return at 7:30pm. \n Tickets include dinner and taxes\, 3-ounce pour of sparkling to welcome you aboard and 5-ounce wine pours for the three meal courses\, and unlimited soda and water. Also includes a take-home\, boat friendly\, wine glass by Go Vino with the Woodwind’s logo on it.  \nMaximum 30 guests.\nSchooner Woodwind’s Dinner Cruises are a very casual affair.\nCourses are served picnic-style and food is presented chilled or at room temperature. You will thoroughly enjoy the event aboard.\nWe really do sail\, so wear soft soled shoes. And please\, feel free to raise the sails\, steer the boat\, or sit back and relax.\n\n[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text css=”.vc_custom_1693591982203{border-top-width: 1px !important;border-right-width: 1px !important;border-bottom-width: 1px !important;border-left-width: 1px !important;padding-top: 25px !important;padding-right: 25px !important;padding-bottom: 25px !important;padding-left: 25px !important;background-color: #dff2fe !important;border-left-color: #cfebfe !important;border-left-style: initial !important;border-right-color: #cfebfe !important;border-right-style: initial !important;border-top-color: #cfebfe !important;border-top-style: initial !important;border-bottom-color: #cfebfe !important;border-bottom-style: initial !important;border-radius: 5px !important;}” el_class=”beth-box”]2020 Malintz: Sparkling Wine to welcome everyone aboard \nMenu: \n2022 Albarino:  Chilled Corn Bisque w/ Crispy Pancetta and Local Crab\n2021 Passeggiata: Butternut Squash Ravioli w/ Brown Butter Fried Local Mushrooms and Crispy Sage\n2021 Viento: Red Wine Local Braised Short Ribs w/ Root Vegetable Puree and Savory Shortbread Crumble served with Artisan Dinner Rolls\, Whipped Butter \nA Dessert Bag Featuring Schooner Woodwind Signature Sugar Cookie\, to take home \n1st course serve chilled\, other courses served room temperature[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_single_image source=”featured_image” img_size=”full” alignment=”center”][vc_single_image image=”21778″ img_size=”full”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_tta_accordion title_tag=”h5″ section_title_tag=”h5″ color=”sky” spacing=”20″ active_section=”36″ no_fill=”true” collapsible_all=”true”][vc_tta_section title=”More Info About Black Ankle Vineyards & Bread & Butter Kitchen” tab_id=”Change-title-use-dashes-and-spacesa249-3d40″][vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1/2″][vc_custom_heading text=”About” use_theme_fonts=”yes”][vc_column_text] \n\nEstate Winery: “In pursuit of making great wine\, we are fully committed to being an estate winery – every grape for every bottle of wine that we produce is grown on our farm and always has been.  The quality of a wine is determined first and foremost by the quality of the grapes that go into it\, so we take our farming very seriously. (OK\, that is just a nice way of saying that we are control freaks – we admit it).” \nSustainability: “We are also big believers in making use of the resources that we have and taking care of those resources so they will continue to be available down the road.  To that end\, we spend a great deal of time doing what we think of as farming the soil – making sure that the microbial life in the soil has a good mix of air\, water and nutrients so it can create a healthy environment for our vines. \nAt Bread and Butter Kitchen\, we LOVE food and we love sharing our passion with our customers. We source nearly everything locally and directly from the farmers and vendors who produce the beautiful ingredients we feature in our dishes. We want to share our love of good food and good ingredients with you. \n\n[/vc_column_text][/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1/2″][vc_single_image image=”14390″ img_size=”full” alignment=”center”][vc_single_image image=”22327″ img_size=”medium” alignment=”center”][/vc_column_inner][/vc_row_inner][/vc_tta_section][/vc_tta_accordion][/vc_column][/vc_row]

This reignited his interests in shipping\, which led to the formation of “The Baltimore Shipwatchers\,” where he is the Admin and Community Manager for this local “maritime business” interest group. \nhttps://www.baltimoreshipwatchers.com/ \nhttps://www.facebook.com/groups/baltimoreandcheseapeakebayshipwatchers[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_single_image source=”featured_image” img_size=”full” alignment=”center”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row disable_element=”yes”][vc_column][vc_tta_accordion title_tag=”h5″ section_title_tag=”h5″ color=”sky” spacing=”20″ active_section=”36″ no_fill=”true” collapsible_all=”true” title=”More Info…”][vc_tta_section title=”More Info…” tab_id=”Change-title-use-dashes-and-spacesa4bd-1afe”][vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1/2″][vc_custom_heading text=”https://www.facebook.com/groups/baltimoreandcheseapeakebayshipwatchers” use_theme_fonts=”yes” link=”url:https%3A%2F%2Fwww.facebook.com%2Fgroups%2Fbaltimoreandcheseapeakebayshipwatchers”][vc_column_text][/vc_column_text][/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1/2″][vc_single_image image=”20267″ img_size=”full” alignment=”center”][/vc_column_inner][/vc_row_inner][/vc_tta_section][vc_tta_section title=”Section” tab_id=”1679931660871-28020ac2-bc94″][/vc_tta_section][/vc_tta_accordion][/vc_column][/vc_row]

Gareth’s expressive voice cuts straight into the core of his listener’s emotions. The passion in his singing\, along with the relatable lyrics have brought fans along with him on an extraordinary musical journey. Through Asher’s music he brings together a community to make this world a better place. \nAsher\, son of musical parents\, latched onto rock and roll before he turned five. He grew up in the Appalachian foothills of West Georgia\, listening to his parents’ rock and roll band and singing along with the records of great artists like Don Henley\, Jackson Browne\, Bob Seager\, and Bruce Springsteen. The day he picked up a guitar and strummed it\, he knew he’d found his instrument. Passionate about singing\, he wrote his first song at age 15 and was jamming with local performers as soon as they would let him in the clubs to play. He continued working on his songwriting and guitar playing while a student at the local university and soon became the featured entertainer in local venues\, where his passionate voice delivering original lyrics—the kind that makes you want to sit up and listen–quickly developed a loyal audience. \nGareth began his professional musical career in 2002 as the lead singer in the four-piece guitar-driven alternative rock band\, Illbreak. Illbreak’s debut album on Imprint Records\, The Flood was released in 2005. It was around that time that Asher put out his first solo record\, No Reality. In addition to releasing multiple records over the years\, Asher has several collaborations including Get It Right featuring Nappy Roots in 2011\, and One Day featuring Niko Moon in 2014. \nOne of Asher’s greatest collaborations began in 2011 when he crossed paths with Nicki Thrailkill. These kindred spirits then went on to perform as Gareth Asher + the Earthlings and then in 2017 as Ink + Ash. They released Defend the Flame in 2019. Now in 2022\, Gareth has returned to his roots as a solo artist and is anticipating recording a new album very soon. \nAs a touring artist\, Asher has shared the stage with Shawn Mullins\, Glen Phillips (Toad the Wet Sprocket)\, Emerson Hart (Tonic)\, Angie Aparo\, Corey Smith\, Sister Hazel\, Collective Soul\, 3 Doors Down\, Steve Cropper and many more. \nAsk fans what they like best about Gareth Asher and they have a simple reply: the passion in his voice\, and the lyrics they connect with. \n“Gareth has the most soulful voice I have ever heard. The first time I heard his music I just had to stop and take it in. I imagine that is what it was like for those who heard Ray Charles or John Lennon for the first time.” – Holly Firfer (92.9 Dave FM On-Air\, Atlanta & Company) \nIn comments likening Asher’s voice to that of famed tenors such as Jeff Buckley\, Ray Lamontagne\, and even Cat Stevens\, record and session producer Charlie Peacock describes Gareth Asher and the Earthlings as “solid in all the ways we need a decidedly American singer-songwriter to be. What do you get? To begin with there’s loopy grooves\, big wide tambourines\, and a by- the-book folky\, rock mix. All the usual Americana instruments are up front and in the shadows: Acoustic guitars\, B3\, Wurlitzer electric piano\, drums\, bass\, and electrics.”[/vc_column_text][/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1/2″][vc_video link=”https://youtu.be/ZXXsC9ugrMk”][vc_empty_space][vc_single_image image=”19889″ img_size=”full” alignment=”center”][/vc_column_inner][/vc_row_inner][/vc_tta_section][/vc_tta_accordion][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column]\nNeed a Place to Stay?\n	\n \n The Schooner Woodwind sails from the Annapolis Waterfront Hotel in downtown Annapolis. We’re a couple of high school sweethearts in our late 30’s that have been on the move for 9 years; creating videos of the ups\, the downs\, our triumphs and our trials. After circumnavigating the North Atlantic in our last boat Serendipity\, (1989 Sabre Targa 34)\, we took on a 2 year complete refit of our new boat Elements of Life – a custom aluminum 37′ monohull. After sailing her to the Arctic\, we sold her in 2020 to begin our newest project of building a 42 ft catamaran. \nhttps://www.youtube.com/@MJSailing \n\n \n	\n\n	\n \n \n \n \n	\nRyan & Sophie Sailing\n\n	\n \n We are Ryan and Sophie\, an American guy and a French girl who met in Sweden\, on a cold night of March 2015. Shortly thereafter\, we decided to leave our corporate jobs to live a big sailing adventure around the World together. We had no experience of sailing at all before we started\, and had honestly no idea what we were getting ourselves into. Turns out\, with a bit of willpower and work\, anything goes. The dream came true on June 5th of 2018\, when we finally got to set sail from our home port in Stockholm. \nhttps://www.youtube.com/c/ryansophiesailing \n\n \n	\n\n	\n \n \n \n \n	\nCaptain Boomies\n\n	\n \n Professionally salty for 20+ years\, Captain Boomies is always a bit soggy with a lot of snark. Let’s talk about things that float! Boat on! \nhttps://www.youtube.com/@CaptainBoomies/about
