DESCRIPTION:Mike and Kelly Lange are a husband and wife ukulele duo.  Lifelong boaters\, Mike & Kelly sing original and classic material\, some with a maritime theme and some with a broader reach. \nMike has played thousands of gigs in the mid-Atlantic and a handful overseas during the past several decades. Over the years he has performed with many popular bands in the Baltimore/Washington area both as a bandleader\, member\, and freelance musician. His original music has been featured on numerous radio stations in the mid-Atlantic area including WRNR\, WPFW\, WTMD\, and WHFS as well as many independent radio stations overseas.  Mike is best known for performing with the Eastport Oyster Boys\, Tiki Barbarians\, and Boogie Express bands. They believe that the central Maryland Piedmont\, sitting at the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains\, has the right mix of rolling hills\, rocky\, low-fertility soils\, regular breezes\, sunshine and rain to be the home of some truly delicious wines — wines that express the land in which they are grown\, enhance the food they accompany\, and most important of all are a joy to drink. \nEstate Winery: “In pursuit of making great wine\, we are fully committed to being an estate winery – every grape for every bottle of wine that we produce is grown on our farm and always has been.  The quality of a wine is determined first and foremost by the quality of the grapes that go into it\, so we take our farming very seriously. (OK\, that is just a nice way of saying that we are control freaks – we admit it).” \nSustainability: “We are also big believers in making use of the resources that we have and taking care of those resources so they will continue to be available down the road.  To that end\, we spend a great deal of time doing what we think of as farming the soil – making sure that the microbial life in the soil has a good mix of air\, water\, and nutrients so it can create a healthy environment for our vines.” \n\n\nSchooner Woodwind’s Dinner Cruises are a very casual affair. DESCRIPTION:Ship’s Company is a living history organization dedicated to the preservation of the American maritime heritage. They interpret many aspects of maritime life between 1775 and 1865. \nFor more than a decade\, the Ship’s Company Chanteymen have shared sea salts’ songs with tens of thousands\, all over the East Coast. Aside from being scurvy-free\, they portray the musical part of nautical life in the 1700s and 1800s. Many of their songs originally set a pace to keep ship crews rowing in time or doing rhythmic chores such as turning a capstan. Some just filled long hours or lonely nights at sea. Simple and direct\, wild and spirited\, salty and rough as a North Atlantic gale\, they were a reflection of the sailors themselves. His most recent single\, “This Is Why I Need You”\, reached the top 10 in 12 different countries\, and has been streamed more than 13 million times. It is currently on rotation on the Sirius/XM Coffeehouse Channel. \nBeyond his music career\, Ruben is highly active in philanthropic endeavors. He has run the NYC Marathon three times for The Christopher and Dana Reeve Foundation\, the largest non-profit devoted to spinal chord injuries\, and twice to raise money and awareness for Lyme Disease research. He is also the founder of The We Can Project\, an initiative for elementary and middle school students designed to help them discover their passion and give back to their communities. So far\, more than 500\,000 students across the US and Canada have participated. Jay Nash will play acoustically while at anchor in a secluded cove. He will play for about an hour and after the performance we will set sail on the 74-foot\, classic wooden schooner\, Woodwind. \nRaise the sails\, steer the boat\, sit back\, relax and meet Jay while sailing the Bay. \nNatalia Zukerman\nJay Nash’s music is like the river that raised him—strong and deep\, with a little bit of lullaby and a big damn current. Twenty years ago\, he played loud in bars along the Saint Lawrence River\, in the reaches of New York so far-flung they’re almost Canadian. For the last decade\, he’s journeyed the US and Europe solo\, selling over 60\,000 records without ever putting ink on a conventional record deal. Now in the green mountains\, the quiet cold of winter rarefies wit and musicianship into the kind of Americana that knows where it comes from. \n  \nLight Brunch Menu: \nApple Cake\, Bacon & Swiss and Pesto Quiche Squares and a refreshing fruit salad. Mimosas and Bloody Marys will be available at our cash bar filled with local craft beer and wine. \nA maximum of 35 guests will be able to enjoy this really special event! We do sail rain or shine. If the musicians cannot play due to the weather\, but we can still sail- we will refund the performance part of the ticket.  There are no assigned seats. There are no refunds or exchanges unless the captain cancels the cruise due to unsafe conditions. \nDeparts from the Annapolis Waterfront Hotel. \nHave any old instruments you want to go to a good home?  We have partnered with Music 4 More\, a 501(c)3 charity organization that launched in Baltimore in 2007 (now based in Annapolis\, MD)\, and we will have a drop off that day for any instruments you would like to donate! Their primary focus is collecting instrument donations\, repairing and reintroducing them into struggling schools and music therapy programs for veterans. Since their launch\, Music 4 More has donated over 700 instruments to schools and VA hospitals in 13 states.  \n \nMusic 4 More accepts instruments in any shape (Currently we are not taking donations of pianos/organs or sheet music). He will play for about an hour and after the performance we will set sail on the 74-foot\, classic wooden schooner\, Woodwind. \nRaise the sails\, steer the boat\, sit back\, relax and meet Michael while sailing the Bay. \nInfo about Michael\, from Michael:\nI was born in Front Royal\, Virginia and raised just south of Atlanta\, Georgia. Music moved me to dance and sing at a very young age–I am indeed the family ham! \nI wrote and recorded my first official album in 2004 called “I Am”\, which enabled me to tour the country opening for bands such as: Maroon5\, Dave Mathews Band\, Hanson\, Blues Traveler\, OAR\, Gavin Degraw and many others. My music has been featured in several TV shows and movies –> “Scrubs”\, “One Tree Hill”\, “Sopranos”\, “Life As We Know It” among others. I had the privilege of writing music for HBO and several Hilton commercial campaigns including the 2008 Olympics\, where they used my song “Speed Feels Better”. \nI learned piano around age 10 and guitar around 18 — I wrote songs every several years when falling for a girl prevented me from sleeping. My favorite form of writing is in the moment though… many call freestyling—when I narrate either the current moment or various other experiences with rhyme off the top of my head-> it’s a mind bending rollercoaster that ignites my mind\, body\, and spirit….and seems to do the same for the audience 🙂  \nI released my new album\, “Eleven” on May 4th 2015 –> eleven years to the day since “I Am”. I wrote and produced this one … quite an epic undertaking and learning experience. I’m excited to be touring again and continuing my journey with one mission- to ignite the human spirit in myself and others through music. \nLight Brunch Menu: \nApple Cake\, Bacon & Swiss and Artichoke with Red Pepper Quiche Squares and a refreshing fruit salad. If the musicians cannot play due to the weather\, but we can still sail- we will refund the performance part of the ticket.  There are no assigned seats.
