Their primary focus is collecting instrument donations\, repairing and reintroducing them into struggling schools and music therapy programs for veterans. Since their launch\, Music 4 More has donated over 700 instruments to schools and VA hospitals in 13 states.  \n \nMusic 4 More accepts instruments in any shape (Currently we are not taking donations of pianos/organs or sheet music). DESCRIPTION:With the release of  “…Beneath Potomac Skies”  –  a 12-song\, full-band collection of moments and memories culled from time spent in Washington DC\, and many other locales – singer/songwriter/saxophonist Ken Francis Wenzel is eager to introduce his own roots-rock\, country jazz-tinged take on love\, learning\, and life in contemporary America. Featuring several guest appearances from some of the DC area’s finest musicians\, “…Beneath Potomac Skies” is the long-awaited follow-up to Ken’s 2010 debut acoustic EP\, “…This is Cross Kentucky”. With a slightly raw voice and sparse acoustic guitar\, that EP showcased the perspective and passions of a well traveled\, yet still searching singer/songwriter – one with a somewhat different story and background than most. \nBorn and raised in Champaign\, Illinois\, Ken studied classical saxophone at the University of Illinois before graduating from UNLV in Las Vegas\, NV with a degree in jazz studies. He spent the next decade playing all over the world: in Las Vegas casinos; on cruise ships in Northern Europe\, Africa\, and Asia; at Universal Studios in Osaka\, Japan; on national tours of Broadway musicals; at festivals including the 2004 Montreux Jazz Festival and 2010 Chicago Blues Festival; and of course\, in countless clubs and small venues. All the while\, he worked as an in-demand freelancer\, playing saxophone with artists both locally and nationally – including\, among many others\, Frankie Avalon\, Ben Vereen\, Bobby Parker\, and Carlos Santana. \nIn 2007\, tiring of the endless grind of freelancing and the narrow branding brought on by being considered “just” a saxophonist\, Ken decided to buy himself an acoustic guitar. His music has been featured in shows like “Parenthood\,” “Friday Night Lights\,” “Felicity\,” and “Brothers and Sisters.” He was a frequent member of the house band on “Last Call with Carson Daly\,” where he performed alongside then fellow up-and-comers like Kamasi Washington\, Zane Carney\, Brian Wright\, and stalwarts like Marc Ford and Cordovas front man\, Joe Firstman. In 2012\, Lucca took third place on NBC’s “The Voice\,” earning himself a record deal with coach Adam Levine’s 222 Records. He has toured alongside such artists as Sara Bareilles\, Jonny Lang\, Maroon 5\, Kelly Clarkson\, Rachael Yamagata\, Emerson Hart\, and Gabe Dixon. There will be up to 25 plus schooners at the starting line. Seven of them are at least near 100+ feet. This is going to be incredible. Join the fun! They will be racing to the Norfolk area\, we will cheer them on till it’s time to go in. \n\n\n \n\n\nWe will be under sail with the schooners (and yes you’ll be sailing on one too). We will not cross the starting line\, but we will be sailing around them all as they come down from Baltimore.\n\nTickets* are $72 per adult and $44 per child and include bottled water\, soft drinks\, and snacks. He will play for over an hour and after the performance we will set sail on the 74-foot\, classic wooden schooner\, Woodwind. \nRaise the sails\, steer the boat\, sit back\, relax and meet Ernie while sailing the Bay. \nErnie Halter fell early and hard for the Beatles and Stevie Wonder\, and taught himself to play piano and guitar. Since recording his first record in a bathroom over a decade ago\, his intimate style of songwriting\, storytelling\, and DIY touring have earned him a loyal fanbase\, and more than 20 million streams on Spotify. His songs have been heard on Good Morning America\, Jimmy Kimmel\, Army Wives\, General Hospital\, and HBO’s The Leftovers. \nEnjoy a light brunch as we cruise to a secluded cove\, including Apple Cake\, Bacon & Swiss and Artichoke with Red Pepper Quiche Squares and a refreshing fruit salad. Mimosas and Bloody Marys will be available at our cash bar filled with local craft beer and wine. \nA maximum of 35 guests will be able to enjoy this really special event! We do sail rain or shine. If the musicians cannot play due to the weather\, but we can still sail- we will refund the performance part of the ticket.  There are no assigned seats. SUMMARY:Classic Wooden Boat Regatta

They have invited the Woodwinds’ to participate in the race in the “Spirit of Tradition Class”. \nThe course is approximately 5.4 NM and takes place in the Severn River. It is a 3 lap race with pursuit style race. Each boat has a rating\, and by the rating they will get a start time. The pursuit style race challenges the competitors to sail through the other race boats to win the regatta. This will be an amazing trip for photography (hint B&W or sepia tone) of these old\, gorgeous boats. \nThis is going to be a fun\, challenging race! Join the crew! \nDeparts Annapolis Waterfront Hotel Dock at 11:00 am and returns to Annapolis Waterfront Hotel Dock at 2:30pm.  Ticket Price includes  soft drinks and bottled water and tax.  Our cash bar includes a selection of Craft Beer\, Wine & Bubbly! \nThe participating boats will be on display on Saturday (other than the Woodwinds).
