We encourage you to bring a prepackaged lunch to enjoy during the sail (no buffets or displays will be allowed) \nParticipate in the Classic Wooden Boat Regatta. The Woodwinds’ have been invited to participate in the race in the “Spirit of Tradition Class”. \nThe course is approximately 5.4 NM and takes place in the Severn River. It is a 3 lap race with pursuit style race. Each boat has a rating\, and by the rating they will get a start time. The pursuit style race challenges the competitors to sail through the other race boats to win the regatta. This will be an amazing trip for photography (hint B&W or sepia tone) of these old\, gorgeous boats. \nThis is going to be a fun\, challenging race! We will not cross the starting line\, but we will be sailing around them all as they come down from Baltimore.\n\nTickets* are $74 per adult and $46 per child and include bottled water\, soft drinks\, and snacks. DESCRIPTION:Schooner Woodwind is pleased to announce the return of TYRONE WELLS to perform aboard the boat for an Intimate\, Acoustic Show.  We will cruise to a secluded cove for the performance and then enjoy a sunset sail back to the dock.   This will be Tyrone’s fourth time singing and sailing on the Woodwind. It all started in 2007 when Captain Jen fell in love with his music and asked if they wanted to go sailing when they were in town. A friendship was formed and Tyrone is pumped about playing the acoustic show aboard the Woodwind this fall! Only 35 tickets will be available for this exclusive performance. \nTyrone Wells still sort of chuckles to himself when he thinks about the fact that making music is his “job.”  He has been at this “job” for well over a decade\, and is just now beginning to shake off the discomfort and stress of the days when he had a real job (TJ Maxx – lead of the ladies department in Spokane\, WA).  As far as jobs go\, Tyrone feels like he has won the lottery (in regards to his present “job”).  He loves to create music.  He loves to perform.  He is a husband\, and a father of 3 daughters.   He has four sisters\, so he feels right at home being completely outnumbered by the ladies in his present household (and also when he was the lead of the ladies dept at TJ Maxx). The Woodwinds’ have been invited to participate in the race in the “Spirit of Tradition Class”. \nThe course is approximately 5.4 NM and takes place in the Severn River. It is a 3 lap race with pursuit style race. Each boat has a rating\, and by the rating they will get a start time. The pursuit style race challenges the competitors to sail through the other race boats to win the regatta. This will be an amazing trip for photography (hint B&W or sepia tone) of these old\, gorgeous boats. \nThis is going to be a fun\, challenging race! DESCRIPTION:An Intimate\, Acoustic Show with JESSE RUBEN aboard the Schooner Woodwind for a concert on a beautiful sailing boat\, including a light delicious brunch and a relaxing sail. \nJesse Ruben is a Philly born singer/songwriter currently living in Brooklyn. His songs have been heard on TV shows such as One Tree Hill\, Degrassi\, Switched at Birth\, and Teen Mom. His most recent single\, “This Is Why I Need You”\, reached the top 10 in 12 different countries\, and has been streamed more than 26 million times. It is currently on rotation on the Sirius/XM Coffeehouse Channel. He recently signed a record deal with Universal Music. \nBeyond his music career\, Ruben is highly active in philanthropic endeavors. He has run the NYC Marathon three times for The Christopher and Dana Reeve Foundation\, the largest non-profit devoted to spinal cord injuries\, and three times to raise money for Lyme Disease research. He is also the founder of The We Can Project\, an initiative for elementary and middle school students designed to help them discover their passion and give back to their communities. So far\, more than 500\,000 students across the US and Canada have participated. To promote the program\, he was recently invited to perform live on The Today Show. \nEnjoy a light brunch as we cruise to a secluded cove.  Mimosas\, Bloody Marys\, craft beer\, wine and bubbly will be available from our cash bar. \nA maximum of 35 guests will be able to enjoy this really special event! \nWe do sail rain or shine. Their primary focus is collecting instrument donations\, repairing and reintroducing them into struggling schools and music therapy programs for veterans. Since their launch\, Music 4 More has donated over 700 instruments to schools and VA hospitals in 13 states. \n \nMusic 4 More accepts instruments in any shape (Currently we are not taking donations of pianos/organs or sheet music). Their primary focus is collecting instrument donations\, repairing and reintroducing them into struggling schools and music therapy programs for veterans. Since their launch\, Music 4 More has donated over 700 instruments to schools and VA hospitals in 13 states.  \n \nMusic 4 More accepts instruments in any shape (Currently we are not taking donations of pianos/organs or sheet music). SUMMARY:Dodon Vineyards Wine Dinner
DESCRIPTION:Established in 2007\, the vineyards at Dodon are fortuitously situated on rolling hills just south of Davidsonville\, Maryland. When they began their first experiments with 150 vines\, the goal was clear: to practice sustainable agriculture and produce exceptional wines. As ninth generation custodians of this historic farmland\, and as demanding winemakers\, they are committed to using viticultural practices and winemaking techniques that permit full expression of the unique deep sandy loam ‘Dodon Series Soils’ that lend their wines distinctive aromatics and subtle minerality. \n\n\n\n  \nUsing only grapes grown on their farm\, their vineyard and winemaking techniques emphasize individual attention to each cluster and protecting the quality of the fruit. They believe that deep soils and abundance of Southern Maryland sun are the keys to producing rich\, balanced\, aromatic wines. In other words\, it is the unique qualities of the site that determine the product (“vins de terroir”)\, not a winemaker with a strong stylistic vision (“vins d’effort”). The result is a combination of old world and new world style that is particular to this area of Southern Maryland. \n\n\n\nSchooner Woodwind’s Dinner Cruises are a very casual affair. Courses are served picnic-style and food is presented chilled or at room temperature. You will thoroughly enjoy the event aboard. We really do sail\, so wear soft soled shoes. And please\, feel free to raise the sails\, steer the boat\, or sit back and relax. \nDeparts from Annapolis at 6:30pm and return at 9:00pm.  Tickets are $113 per adult and include dinner and taxes\, four 4-ounce wine pours\, soda and water.
